Two different leather lines available

Japlish has two brand lines.

The first is Japlish, our main brand that has been around since our founding in 2009. It is a unisex line that accounts for 80% of our total products.

The other is Martillo, a men's line that was launched in 2014. They create products with a classic feel using chic oiled leather.

Main brand for men and women
Japlish

This is a classic line that has been around since the company's founding, and the main material is soft combination-tanned cowhide, available in six colors.

Many of the designs feature soft silhouettes that make the most of soft leather, and are characterized by hand-sewn anchor embroidery and three-line embroidery.

The designs are varied and popular with both men and women.

Japlish six leather colors

Made with six colors of domestic cowhide

The leather for the Japlish line is made by a tanner in Himeji as original leather.

The leather is tanned using a combination tanning method that combines the benefits of tannin tanning and chrome tanning, allowing you to enjoy aging at a moderate speed.
The leather is available in six colors: camel, chocolate, green, red, black, and gray.

Anchor embroidery

Many Japlish products feature hand-sewn anchor patterns and three-line embroidery.

The anchor, which is said to be a symbol of hope in Europe, is a pattern that the representative of Japlish has always liked, and it became the brand's icon after he collected anchor buttons at flea markets in Europe.

Embroidery adds the warmth of handwork to the natural warmth of the leather.

[Rolling Wallet g-23-m]

I am currently using it as a secondary wallet separate from my main wallet.
The camel leather, which was close to orange, has turned amber.
The areas that were touched became even darker, allowing me to enjoy the contrast.

Leather color: Camel

Used for about 2 years

[Shoulder bag jb-27-l]

A female maker has designed a bag for commuting.
The chocolate leather has lightened in color with use, likely due to fading from sunlight.

It is resistant to dirt and water and has been caught in the rain many times, but stains are not very noticeable.

Leather color: Chocolate

Usage history: About 3 years

[Slim silhouette long wallet G-12]

The thread is a lighter green than the green of the main body, so it doesn't create a dark atmosphere and I was able to enjoy using it.
The embroidery in the center didn't get as dirty as I thought it would, but one option is to semi-order it with a different thread color.

Leather color: Green

Used for about a year and a half

[Accordion long wallet g-10]

This female craftsman made this wallet for herself to commemorate the fact that she was now able to make it herself.
The black leather has a nice shine and stains are barely noticeable.

Leather color: Black

Used for about 7 years

[ Tri-fold wallet g-13 ]

Camel color ages quickly, but since I put it in my pants pocket, it aged even faster, which was fun to watch.

Leather color: Camel

Used for about 1 year

[Body & Waist Bag jb-60-m]

I commute to work by train and bicycle, so I chose this bag because it would fit my lunch box but be small enough to fit in.

The camel-colored bag looks great with my clothes, so I enjoy changing it up.

Leather color: Camel

Usage history: about 2 years

Martillo
Martillo

This chic line was introduced in 2014 and uses four colors of oil leather.

Martillo means "hammer" in Italian. The hammer is one of the first tools invented by humans before the Common Era and is a tool that has always been close to us.

There is not a day that goes by without using a hammer in the Japlish atelier, and we named our brand Martillo with the desire to provide a "Life Leather Style" just like the tools we use every day.

The hand-sewn embroidery is also a "hammer pattern embroidery."

Men's line Martillo

4 colors of oiled leather

Martillo leather is oil leather made from high-quality rawhide from North America and tanned in Japan using oil imported from Italy.
It is transparent and supple, yet maintains a moderate amount of tension.
The four colors, brown, navy, wine red, and olive, all have a chic feel and are especially popular among men.

Hammer-shaped embroidery

The hammer is hand-sewn on the bag as a symbol of strength and toughness. The coloring is a calm brown and gray color scheme.

Original hardware

The metal fittings are painted in an antique silver style, which is popular among men, for a subdued finish.
